 Forest Bathing

Really? Are you a nut or is there really something there?

Oh there’s something there and we should all do it more often. It’s also called nature healings and eco-therapy, and it’s been around for centuries. It’s submerging yourself in nature and taking it allll in.. turn off all devices, no phone, no music, no dog on a leash yanking you away. Settle in and let your senses take over. Smell the pine tree scent in the air and the Earth’s damp soil. Listen to the wind whistling through the leaves and the birds singing their song. Touch the flower’s silky petal and the mosses soft bedding. Take a long deep breath and feel the calmness embrace you. Go alone and don’t be afraid to get up close and personal with your surroundings. Look silly, look childish.. it’s okay. Observe the pattern of that pine cone like you’ve never looked at one before. You will be amazed with nature and come out feeling grateful for life and this time on this beautiful Earth. You may have a sense of clarity and thought.. and feel at ease. Japanese researchers have documented research of people who have spent hours of quality time in the forest. They came away from lower blood pressure, lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol and have lower heart rates. But we don’t need research to tell us this.. you can just feel it.
